Will your website pass acquirer underwriting?

Before any application goes to a bank, an underwriter will read your website the way we do. Give us the URL and a payment specialist will tell you what will be approved, what will be questioned, and what will be declined — and how to fix it.

  • Reviewed by a payment specialist, not a scanner
  • Delivered within two business days
  • Confidential. Nothing is shared with any acquirer without your consent.

Businesses processing over €50K a month receive the full 13-point report. Smaller or pre-launch businesses receive a summary review covering the key blockers.

Thirteen things an underwriter checks before you hear back.

Most declines are not about your industry. They are about what the acquirer finds, or cannot find, on your website. We check the same list, in the same order, and tell you what to fix before anything is submitted.

  1. 01

    Legal entity & ownership

Company name, registration number, registered address and beneficial owners visible and consistent with the domain and billing descriptor.

  2. 02

    Products & pricing

Every product is described, priced in the currency you settle in, and matches what the application says you sell.

  3. 03

    Terms & conditions

Present, specific to your business, governing law stated, and reachable from checkout.

  4. 04

    Refund & cancellation policy

Clear timelines, who pays return shipping, how subscriptions are cancelled — the single biggest chargeback defence.

  5. 05

    Privacy & cookies

GDPR / CCPA-compliant, names the processor, matches the data you actually collect.

  6. 06

    Contact & support

Email, phone and physical address. Support hours. A route to a human before a cardholder calls their bank.

  7. 07

    Billing descriptor

What appears on the cardholder statement matches the brand on the site — unrecognised descriptors drive disputes.

  8. 08

    Checkout flow

HTTPS, 3-D Secure readiness, card-scheme logos, amount and currency shown before the pay button, no hidden recurring terms.

  9. 09

    Delivery & fulfilment

Shipping times, carriers, tracking, countries served — and whether digital goods are delivered instantly.

  10. 10

    Regulatory & category rules

Age gates, health or financial disclaimers, licence numbers, restricted-country blocks — whatever your category requires.

  11. 11

    Content & claims

No prohibited products, no unsupported medical or financial claims, no language that triggers a scheme-rule flag.

  12. 12

    Chargeback exposure

Dispute ratio risk from your model: trial-to-paid, high ticket, long delivery gaps, international volume.

  13. 13

    Acquirer fit

Which acquiring partners, in which jurisdictions, have appetite for exactly this profile — and what they will ask for.

What the report looks like.

How it works

  1. 1

    Send the URL

Thirty seconds. Website, business type, volume, email. No documents needed at this stage.

  2. 2

We review it as an underwriter would

A payment specialist reads every page that matters — policies, checkout, descriptor, claims, category rules — and maps your profile against current acquirer appetite.

  3. 3

    You get the report

Within two business days: findings, status, the fix for each, and which acquiring routes are realistic. Act on it yourself or let us carry it through to placement.

The review is free and carries no obligation. If you choose to proceed, KLAUDE is remunerated by its acquiring and payment partners on placement — there is no fee to you for the review itself.

Questions

Why is the review free?

Because it is how we work anyway. Every placement KLAUDE makes starts with exactly this review; doing it before you commit costs us an hour and saves you a decline on your record. If the findings lead to an engagement, we are paid by the partners we place you with.

Is it automated?

No. We use tooling to crawl and extract, but every finding and every recommendation is written by a payment specialist who has sat on the underwriting side. Automated scanners miss the things that actually get merchants declined — descriptor mismatches, claim language, category-specific rules.

What do you do with my information?

We review your public website and the details you submit. Nothing is shared with any acquirer, bank or partner unless you ask us to proceed. See our privacy policy.

What if we are not live yet?

Submit the staging URL or the closest thing you have. Pre-launch businesses receive a summary review covering what must be in place before a first application — which is usually the most valuable time to hear it.

We were declined or terminated recently. Is it still worth it?

Especially then. A decline is recorded and makes the next application harder, so the second attempt must go to the right acquirer, complete. Mention it in the notes field and we will factor it in.
